tHe NuMBERs beHiNd bRAziL2014!

Now that the world cup is over and Germany has been crowned world champions, i would like to share some very interesting financial facts about what happens behind the scenes.
For example did you know that FIFA pays the clubs whose players participated at the world cup some money too? or that the winning team in this case Germany gets 1% of all FIFA revenue from the current world cup event? Wondering what else goes down? then keep reading.

For a start, the Brazilian government spent about $15Billion building and renovating stadium and providing security. A figure most critics still are in disbelief over especially since that figure makes this world cup the most expensive world cup ever.
Before the World Cup event proper FIFA dolled out $1.5Million to each team to cover training and travel expenses. At the world cup event FIFA also paid teams from stage qualifications as seen below:
Group Stage (16 eliminated teams): $8 million each, Round of 16 (eight losers): $9 million each Quarterfinals (four losers): $14 million each, Fourth place: $18 million, Third place: $20 million.

For winning the world cup alone Germany banked a sum of $35Million that is in addition to the initial stage payouts. This is an improvement on the $30Million banked by Spain in 2010. Argentina banked $25million for coming second while Holland got $20million as stated earlier. These figures kind of make you wonder if FIFA is really this generous, i think not! what these teams and football association get to keep pales in comparism to what FIFA hurls into its coffers from Broadcasting rights, Sponsorships, Hospitality and Licensing. Analysts have estimated upwards of $4.5Billion as FIFA earnings from Brazil2014 alone. So who says being a Football official doesn't pay?

i found this video on the channels TV YouTube page. while i was in utter disbelief as to how bad things have gotten in the world i couldn't help but admire the courage of this little girl who confronted her kidnappers in front of cameras. It seems to me that these days children are forced to grow up in life really fast doing away with their childhoods all because of the wickedness in the world.
