Google is about to change the way we receive & use the internet. It is this out of the box approach to challenges that has made Google a global leader in search technology. Though the company may not be perfect it has managed to innovate amidst stiff competition and anti trust restraints.

Enter The Loon Project. A balloon based internet distribution service that literary thrives on Balloons floating in the Earth's stratosphere which allows internet access even in remote terrains that are extremely difficult to reach. This concept is a beautiful blend of Meteorology, Physics, and Technology.

I saw this video of the technology behind this innovation and i thought i should share it. Yes i sound like a geek right now, it may have to do with the fact that before i settled into entertainment fully i had an Information Technology background. I believe strongly that this technology should interest even the least tech savvy individual. Please let me know your thoughts after you have seen this video:

microsoft's super sleek ipad killer

All hail the ipad killer! 

i may not consider meself  a bonafide member of the geek squad, heck im pretty sure they would even consider me an outcast despite my IT Background which i believe technically qualifies me to discuss gadgets like the microsoft surface tablet/pc/or whatever the MS surface eventually gets called. I appreciate the practically of this pretty gadget but i think its a really steep climb for Microsoft who over the last 2 decades have focused solely of software development.
