bEYoNCE #VMA bEHinD tHe sCeNes

i get excited every chance i get to catch a glimpse into what it takes to make entertainers look so good on stage. The MTV #VMAs 2014 has been relegated to the history pages but some experiences will never be forgotten. Stumbled on the video of Beyonce's behind the scenes before and after her 15minute VMA performance. I hope you enjoy it and even more appreciate the amount of work that goes into her craft. Yeah and she prayed to God not the Free Masons with her crew before the performance. They don't forget so easily where they came from.

nEW MTV mOOn mAN dEsiGN

brooklyn-based artist KAWS has given the MTV video music awards trophy a redesign for the first time in its 30 year history. the original 13 inch (33 cm.) tall chrome statue was conceived by manhattan design in the early 1980s and is based on the image of celebrated american astronaut buzz aldrin. for this one-year-only event, the iconic MTV moonman will take on the characteristics typical to KAWS' style. the artist is best known for his fine art merchandise -- series of vinyl toys and memorabilia produced in extremely limited quantities and highly sought out by collectors -- as well as his collaborations with brand giants nike and marc jacobs. MTV executives thought the shift was an appropriate way to mark the change in venue for this summer's award show at the newly-built barclays center in brooklyn, new york. KAWS will also design the stage for the august 25th show which will include an 18-meter (60 foot) inflatable version of his limited-edition moonman.

JayZ receiving the Platinum Sale recognition from the RIAA

Talk about changing the rules!
once in a while individuals come along that change the rules and rewrite them. By now we all know Jay cut a deal with samsung to distribute 1million free copies of his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, but at the point of the deal there was the controversy of RIAA certification which required at least a million units to be sold through conventional means (music stores etc) for the platinum certification to be confirmed. The unconventional approach of selling your album to a corporate entity is not necessarily new but was first successfully exploited by Jay on a global scale. Thanks to this feat the RIAA has been forced to rewrite their rules on record sale certifications.~ NICE!

we are our worst enemy!

You are your worst enemy! as i have always maintained: we are what we make of Grace, time and Circumstance. As far as certain aspects of our lives are concerned God has blessed us with an unimaginable amount of control and choices. Nothing ever happens by accident ever, and sometimes the best things in our lives come into existence as a spinoff of the worst times of our lives.
Its been quite a while since my last post. over the years i have tried to train myself to be alert to the good (lesson/benefits) of every situation i find myself no matter how unsettling (*easier said than done right*)....

Let me put my ramblings into perspective:
In October 2002, a young music producer from a middle class background while working late with some world class artistes like the black eyed peas, left the studio at 3:00am to head home. While in his rented vehicle he was cut off at an intersection by another driver and was involved in a near fatal accident which left his jaw fractured into several pieces. while in recovery at the hospital he composed several singles from his first album which formed the basis for the next phase of his life. Fast forward 18 Grammy's and several other awards later he is without a doubt one of the most successful artistes in the history of music. His  is Kanye Omari West.

No matter the rumors you may have heard concerning Kanye you gotta admit he had to make certain choices on his recovery bed that set the stage for all he has amounted to today. Its all up to YOU! God has blessed us all with abilities in accordance with his perception of the big picture you are a cure to a certain pain, a plug to a certain leak.. What you do about it is all up to YOU!

OTIS- Sliced Maybach to be Auctioned for Charity

yesterday i seriously doubted the ability of JayZ and Kanye West to actually slice up a maybach like they did in the OTIS video off the watch the throne album. I WAS VERY WRONG! as the sliced up maybach used in the video was real and the word on the wire is that the sliced maybach is to be auctioned to raised funds for charity (to ease suffering in EAST AFRICA). By the way that car costs about $400,000. FINANCIAL ARROGANCE!! I guess i just did what they wanted- talk about their opulence. but its for a good course.

Beyonce's Birthday Island

Apparently the best birthday gift to give your woman now is no longer diamonds but wait for it: an ISLAND. Well as beyonce turned 29 a few days ago and the gifts came pouring in, we heard of Lady Gaga's interesting  gift to Beyonce which was a diamond whip and then people were like: O yeah? Gaga just outdid Jay. But in his Royal Flyness after like he put it in his own words in Hot Toddy: "Upgrading to King Louis the Thirteenth" by having Queen B in his Life, Jay-z bought his Queen an ISLAND for her birthday.

As much as i love Jayz ...i have to say he has just made things pretty difficult for young dudes like me self by raising the bar on best birthday gifts.
Check out the Island:

::onestop talent brand management::

I could bet my 'bottom kobo' anytime that beckam was never half as good as JayJay Okocha...(i'm sure you will mosdef agree) then why is Beckam worth more than JayJay. or what is it exactly that makes the signature of a club swinging sports man (TIGER WOODS) worth over $250,000,000 on an AMEX card; or that makes a black rapper from the marcy's project the top earning hiphop head on earth?

Its called 'QUALITY BRAND MANAGEMENT' why is it so hard for eyes to be opened to the 'humongous' oppurtunities that exist for celebrity brands in Nigeria.

In the U.S as i know it, as an artist when your album goes platinum...your career is just gettin started.

my point exactly?
lots of opportunities exist in product endorsements, franchise development...squash the marketing mumbo jumbo... if you are an artist?, and you dream of your own footware line, fragrance line,
david & Victoria beckam fragrance
clothsline( already overated)...blah blah .. if it sells you when u sleep...who else would you talk to but SWAGCRAFT.

Truth is @ swagcraft we are not just interested in the sales we would most definately help you make, we believe that your overall success as an artist can be leveraged upon for the good of your fans generally and the enviroment.

Our strategy simple, 'ONE STOP'
