All hail the new generation of Germaphobes Ebola has created!
This morning i decided to make a quick stop at the bank, GTBank to be precise. It was quite presumptuous of me to think i would be in and out in less than 10mins, how wrong i was. At the entrance of that particular branch i noticed a barel of urine looking liquid and it turned out that for me to get into the bank i had to wash my hands with that.
So i asked the security man who had on latex gloves and an infrared thermometer in his right hand what exactly was in the barrel and his response was: "its just chlorine". I laughed knowing that there had to be alot more than chlorine in a mix with that kind of coloring, I was forced to use it, and discovered it had bleach in it.
I think this Ebola outbreak has catalyzed a different kind of healthcare revolution that wouldn't have been achieved with a Billion Naira spent on National Orientation ads. From the scarcity of Hand Sanitizers, to the high demand for latex gloves, Hazmat suits and Infra red thermometers, This reminds me of how the seat belt discipline was permanently instilled in Nigerian city drivers.
That, like Ebola started with fear. Only time will tell how sustainable this new level of cleaniness will last, but i must say its a welcome development that we may have reduced in addition to the spread of Ebola the communication of common diseases like colds etc.
Managed Fear may just be the real cure for any outbreak.

sToP trYinG tO sUppRess God...
twice this week, in an ever changing world with a need to conform to being politically correct, i witnessed two outright declarations against secularity on Satellite TV, precisely on CNN International. First, earlier in the week at the #Ferguson Protests Ron Johnson the man in charge of Security & his colleagues started their press conferences with prayers with a consistent mention of Jesus. A trend that is fast becoming a relic of a lost age.
Secondly, as Dr. Kent Brantley the Samaritan's Purse Doctor who contracted Ebola was discharged haven passed several tests along with his colleague Nancy Writebol. At his discharge Press Conference he ascribed his survival to God, he then went ahead to detail how he refused to lose faith in God and Hope in God's ability to save him.
For a Nation that built its entire economy on spiritual influences the U.S seemed to have strayed from the very Entity that helped them become who they are. Sadly too it is becoming increasingly difficult for christians to practice their faith. I have heard stories of children in school getting punished for opening their Bibles in class. We not now only have to deal with Islamic Extremists persecuting christians, we now also have to deal with a fast rising secular society that exalts the very things that God speaks against. These things were predicted though, now more than ever we need to be more conscious of the times the signs abound every where, from the legalization of Gay rights (2Tim3:3), to wars in Syria, Ukraine (Matt24:6), Earth quakes (Matt24:7) etc. the end is definitely near.
I might sound like a broken record telling you to live right and cultivate a healthy relationship with God, but honestly we all have about two choices live right accept Jesus and join him up there when it matters most or get left behind at rapture and slug it out with every force of evil...
I would leave you to decide if being politically correct and consciously suppressing your conscience pays you in the long run.

Billionaire Pastor Unveils $300 Million Temple of Solomon Church Replica in Brazil
A Brazilian billionaire preacher inaugurated a massive church
building in Sao Paulo, Brazil last week, designed to be a $300 million
replica of the original Temple of Solomon, as noted in the Bible's Old
Testament.
The temple, which takes over an entire city block, is
an 11-story building twice the size of the iconic Christ the Redeemer
statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro, and is complete with stone from
Israel and a helipad for its founder's, Edir Macedo, convenience.
One question: is this why Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice?
Preachers like this give christians a bad name. God sees the heart and intent of every man and he know those who are truly his.
