tHe aLBum & tHe tWiNs..

Last night i received with great excitement news that TY Bello put twins to bed in the U.S. 

You would recall that about three days ago she put out her sophomore album after so many years of waiting and to be honest i am gently easing into the the awesomeness of that album. 

TY Bello has given so much of her self either through photography or through music one way or the other, but i must say that even though i am yet to meet her in person she has had some positive influence on me especially with regards to my perception of God's sovereignty. I pray that God grants her the grace to be the be the perfect Mother, and Wife. diMeji IsRaEL, NoT yOuR aVeRage MaEsTRo!

yesterday on the show, we had a very interesting interview with this very little known but accomplished Musician Dimeji Israel. An architect and a Recording Arts Degree Holder from the prestigious SAE Institute, Dimeji Israel has done it all. Even though he has worked with some of the world's best gospel and secular artistes like Helen Baylor, Keith Staten, Marvin Sapp among others, he shies away from mentioning them. He believes strongly that his credibility shouldnt depend on people he has had a history with. Enjoy this interview.

This very vocal and visually impaired genius has continued to be an inspiration to the world, through his life, music and inspirational talks. I had the unique privilege to setup an interview with Cobhams on our show holyholla on Rhythm FM93.7 It was indeed an insightful interview where he talked about his wife, his 2 year old son, the lessons he learned from his time at QuestionMark records way back and how he got to be penned down to perform at this years World Economic Summit, 2014 in Davos, Switzerland. welcome! 2014 is finally here and i sincerely hope the year brings with it radical transformation your lives and endeavors. In light of the new year, HOLYHOLLA is producing its first gospel concert to celebrate the new year. The concert tagged #Pluggedin will hold on Saturday, the 4th of January, 2014 at the Silverbird Galleria Atrium by 4:00PM. In the last 3 months and by divine orchestration i have found myself Producing and co-hosting a radio show called HolyHolla. A show that celebrates contemporary gospel artistes and music domestically and internationally. This show asides from being a ministry initiative has given me a new sense of fulfillment and purpose. From time to time i will share personal experiences from the show that you will not find on  the shows social platforms. So far the show has featured: Flo, Kennykore, Provabs, PITA, IBKspaceshipboi, Okeysokay, Differentstone among others. I have put together a few of the videos for your viewing and listening pleasure.

JayZ receiving the Platinum Sale recognition from the RIAA

Talk about changing the rules! 

once in a while individuals come along that change the rules and rewrite them. By now we all know Jay cut a deal with samsung to distribute 1million free copies of his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, but at the point of the deal there was the controversy of RIAA certification which required at least a million units to be sold through conventional means (music stores etc) for the platinum certification to be confirmed. The unconventional approach of selling your album to a corporate entity is not necessarily new but was first successfully exploited by Jay on a global scale. Thanks to this feat the RIAA has been forced to rewrite their rules on record sale certifications.~ NICE!
