some call it technological advancement, but i find it particularly baffling that the world is becoming even more at peace with the idea of suspended Motherhoods. Last night i read on NBCnews.com website that two tech giants: Facebook & Apple have programs that allow female personnel to get paid for freezing their eggs. Yes! you read that right 'FREEZING EGGS'.

To put this in perspective, what this entails basically is that people are getting incentives to put career building ahead of child bearing. So say you work for a great company and you are looking to build a career by staying relevant to the company without the 'burden' of motherhood, both companies now offer up to $20,000 to women under the Fertility/Surrogacy benefits program of their individual companies.

I think the world is going mad a lot faster than it should. This constant need to do away with the natural order of things is becoming quite too much for me to bear. According to that NBC article, freezing eggs doesn't come cheap at about $10,000 per round and a $500 annual storage fee this whole endeavor seems to be a potential goldmine for the medical industry.

But here is my problem with this way of thinking, as the Millennials keep coming up with these 'bright' ideas i wonder sometimes if they ever stop to consider long term consequences, or if they realize that for as long as humans are involved anything could go wrong. soon some cotton wool brained scientist will come up with the idea of implanting human embryo in animals.

I think this idea is stupid especially for women who have no challenges with conception or cancer, but then again it all kind of makes you wonder if freezing eggs isn't better than aborting babies career women never planned to have.
The blessings of the Lord makes one rich but He adds no sorrow with it. God is the only inventor who creates fully aware of all possible consequence. Humans will never get to that point, the best we can do is fix consequences as they appear. While it may be convenient for career women to freeze their eggs and have long careers, you cannot deny the fact that the risks of fertilizing deformed eggs still exist or that there are crazy scientists who wont hesitate to experiment on humans.

iNsiDe aPPLe's rEceNt 'aPPLE wAtcH' LauNch [viDeo]

i can never pass up on an opportunity to share behind the scenes footage of great and global disruptive events. if you have been following my blogs for some time you would understand my affinity for appreciating the amount of work that goes into great events. A few days ago Apple launced its new products: Iphone6, iphone6 plus, and the apple watch. ABC was the only media outfit given backstage access to shoot BHS footage. Here is a 7min video of how things work behind Apple events.

aPPLe wANts YouR dAsHboArd-- CARPLAY

its not enough that apple owns my mobile(iphone5) and work life (MAC) they would like to own my dashboard too apparently. Apple launched car play, at the Geneva International Motor Show, pretty much an extra dashboard in your car that gives you access to maps, Siri, phone calls etc. while you drive. Ferrari, Volvo and Mercedes Benz get the first chance to roll out Apple Carplay. I wonder if this would become an indispensable auto companion.

i-solation, ipad & apple

i-solation

It is no longer news that Apple has announced the 'ipad' its latest product offering. But what may come as news to some is the fact that Apple Inc. as an entity is managed like a cult-in translation, its management aint that different from the chinese government in style.

Now before you conclude about this article, this is not a bashing of Apple Inc. management style, but an analysis of how Apple Inc. led by Steve Jobs has used the concept of isoloation to better its lot.

The use of excessive divide and conquer techniques, oaths of secrecy by staff, isolation (of the industrial design team) has partly been responsible for the revolutionary success of Apple.

Following the announcement of the apple ipad this wednesday, mixed reviews have greeted the product but one that has caught my eye is the fact that 3 other brands are laying claim to the trademark 'ipad' claiming apple had no right to use their registered trademark. This i blame on isolation. A company that is very much in the system would know what the industry pulse reads.

Now here's the issue. A few years ago some dedicated BMW customers protested to the management of BMW that they up their industrial designers such that the newer models of the brand would be more sleek and very intune with the times, In responding the management announced that their brand was not for the masses and that if the protesters didnt like their cars they shouldn't buy them. Which as far as concerned was a BIG slap to customers. Finally when reality of dwindling sales hit years ago the latest specs of BMW cars would attest to the fact that they had to cave in to the pressure from customers.

For a very long time the process of bringing new products to the market which include market research, sampling and testing have been grossly ignored by Apple, and they have gotten away with this so much because for some reason they have a genuis as the VP of Industrial Design who keeps coming up with irrestable designs that work.

its been said that The Industrial Designers @ Apple led by Jonathan Ive work out of a secluded cove with in the Apple Inc. campus and they report directly to the CEO Steve Jobs directly who also is the only one that has direct access to the work enviroment of the designers. These designers are made to sign NDA's to ensure non of their desings are ever leaked. Apple does not do public BETA testings-PERIOD!

This strategy helps drive all sorts of rumors and industry speculations about expected apple product. Th online tech media fabricates all sorts which in turn transcends to good hype and PR for the potential product. This is how it worked with th iphone. And this in my conclusion is about the cheapest way to market Apple products: WORD OF MOUTH.

In summary my ramblings are simple: the concept of isolation is a two edged sword as much as it works best for brands like Apple that have been strategically placed which causes them to force products on its customers without asking customer opinion, it could also backfire just like it would soon become apparent.

The 'ipad' was over hyped and expectations became very high... but in the end Uncle Steve would learn again that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. plus how long will it take Apple to realise that the day they lift the AT&T caveat off iphones they would see maximised global sales. Well i guess they better have a good reason...

Extra-Ordinary People…

isn’t it amazing how a few men make a huge difference in world affairs. A wise man once said that where there is a vision there is a flock, meaning it doesn't matter what the vision is once you’ve got extraordinary people behind it people will most definately buy into that vision.

*check out Adolf Hitler despite the brutality of his vision till today we still have people who believe in his course years after his death.
*Another very good example is the US presidential aspirant: Barack Obama, the chicago Illinois senator has proven over the last couple of months that he is indeed a potential leader and that there is a new breed of politics that is far more effective than what was obtainable in the past. Enough of my ranting…

My point exactly is that every man has been blessed with a unique potential to do extraordinary things. It is my understanding that for every challenge a man faces he has already been equipped with the solution. the fact that you could even recognize that challenge is simply an indication of the fact that you can solve it.
Fela Durotoye a business consultant once echoed: "in order to achieve what has never been achieved, one must be ready to do what has never been done". this obviously means that it is only a fool that keeps doing the same thing and expects a different result. This is definately the attitude of extraordinary people like Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Woods,  and Steve Jobs.

Extraordinary people make things happen while ordinary people simply stand by and watch things happen. my question to you then  is  which would you rather be?
So every day you wake up always have it on your mind that you are alive for a reason, and that reason makes you a unique being .
till my next post…ciao.
stay Extra Ordinary.
