tHe $20miLLioN OsCar seLfie

I am hardly ever swayed by media hypes, especially because being a media strategist, I have come to understand how the news is made. but i would like to share a very interesting fact about this Oscar selfie seen above. For starters even though at the time it all seemed spontaneous, this selfie wasn't entirely unplanned.
if you look closely at the picture, you would notice the white samsung galaxy phone. Samsung paid a whooping $20million as part of sponsorship costs for ads to run at breaks during broadcast of the Academy Awards. As part of the deal Samsung and its ad agencies negotiated to have the phone incorporate into the show.
Further more in the weeks leading up to the Oscars some samsung executives trained Ellen DeGeneres on how to go about taking selfies at the show. But as it turns our Samsung received a lot more mileage from Ellen hosting the show than actually running ads.

The picture above is undoubtedly the most valuable and most popular self of all time. who says 'Advertainment' doesn't give more mileage.

aPPLe wANts YouR dAsHboArd-- CARPLAY

its not enough that apple owns my mobile(iphone5) and work life (MAC) they would like to own my dashboard too apparently. Apple launched car play, at the Geneva International Motor Show, pretty much an extra dashboard in your car that gives you access to maps, Siri, phone calls etc. while you drive. Ferrari, Volvo and Mercedes Benz get the first chance to roll out Apple Carplay. I wonder if this would become an indispensable auto companion.

In addition to being the daughter of the first Nigerian to graduate from a Post Graduate program at Harvard, she is responsible for the theme songs for some of the bigggest brands out there like VISAFONE,UAC, Indomie, sweet sensation, Fidelity among many others successful brands. mArcH oN... ChAnGing yOuR LiFe isNt iMpossiBLe!

If you are reading this, you, like myself have put 2months in 2014 right behind you. But 2months into 2014 has your life changed? All those annual prophetic declarations, resolutions and goals...still haven't began to come alive yet??

Only a fool does the same things and expects better results. The challenge with some of us is: like the world we desire change, or at least an improvement in our situation but are a largely unwilling to make the necessary changes in our lives.

I am of the school of believe that 'Time' is the greatest asset any man has and with it you can create every other need. Rather than wait another 10months for magic, we could make conscious efforts to rewrite our stories. I would like to share a few pointers to help us evaluate changes we need to make to come into those resolutions:

1. Revisit/Review your goals for the year

2. Refocus and put pressure on the most viable of these goals.

3. Reevaluate your circle & network of people around you. Some people in your circle could just be anchors holding you down to your current position.

4. Sometimes shut doors need to be knocked on again or even kicked down for access. Nothing good comes easy.

5. Believe! not just in you but in your Maker. God will never be pro mediocrity.

6. Understand that if God gave you those ideas you can achieve them. Allow him help you figure out a way.

tHe sOcial Nut joB PIERS MORGAN iS jObLess

Apparently being overly opinionated can be detrimental to one's professional career in the media. It is no longer news that the social nut job that is Piers Morgan would be losing his show Piers Morgan Live on CNN. I refuse to subscribe to the Newyork Times Story that says Piers and CNN agreed to end the show. I believe that every man should be judged based on the same measure with which he judges, and haven experienced first hand via social media the embodiment of arrogance that is Piers Morgan its only fair to call it as it is: PIERS HAS BEEN FIRED! You lose the choice to agree with a network when you having poor ratings.

The decision to cancel the show means that he has failed at filling the shoes with respect to longevity of his predecessor (Larry King, who had rating problems of his own towards the end) only after 3yrs. Poor ratings has been largely responsible for this decision in addition to his polarizing opinions on gun control and for some like myself gay rights.

I have no qualms with any man's choice to be pro gay, i am certainly no homophobe neither am i pro gay, i have never hidden my real views about this subject. I still believe that just as you believe you have a right to be gay, i also have a right not to be gay meaning we both have a right to air our opinions about it without being viewed as politically incorrect.

Pier's greatest undoing as far as i am concerned is his continuos attempt at making people like myself and many other people out there seem demonic just because we refuse to encourage sodomy.

I will not for the sake of sounding politically correct, compromise my Faith and cultural believes.

No single entity, not even Barack Obama has a right to impose and arm twist any individual or government into accepting believes that go against theirs.

So i run a Media/Production outfit with a business partner called Swagcraft Media Company and about a week ago one of our active clients HHQ the management company that signed HENRISOUL put out this well produced video for his 3rd single titled BADMAN. This video was directed by AJE Filmworks, who by the way we think did an amazing job on the video.

wHAT HaVe i bEEn uP to?

almost a full month into 2014 i have found myself biting a lot more than i can chew and nothing about that thought makes me uneasy. I am currently working on two projects i consider a lot bigger than me in so many ramifications but I trust God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all i can think or imagine. Even as i write this in my mind's eye i can see that everything i would work on this year would have a global effect some how.

Sometimes complaining about the situation of things in your environment is a waste of breathe. So i have opted for the option of making a difference in my immediate sphere of contact. Like someone once said be the change you would like to see in others.

Finally i would just like to encourage you to endeavor to go beyond just dreaming Big by taking small daily steps towards achieving your goals. There will never ever be a perfect time to achieve any worthwhile feat.

This very vocal and visually impaired genius has continued to be an inspiration to the world, through his life, music and inspirational talks. I had the unique privilege to setup an interview with Cobhams on our show holyholla on Rhythm FM93.7 It was indeed an insightful interview where he talked about his wife, his 2 year old son, the lessons he learned from his time at QuestionMark records way back and how he got to be penned down to perform at this years World Economic Summit, 2014 in Davos, Switzerland.
